The Garden Takes Shape - 1

March 2010

  • the Seniors Community Garden's advisory committee holds its first monthly meeting
  • program coordinator Harry Hill begins speaking to local garden clubs and senior centres about the new seniors community garden

April 2010

  • the open house for the new garden attracts more than 30 people, and several people sign up to help build the garden
  • fill is spread and levelled in the area destined to be the Seniors Community Garden;
  • volunteers design standard high raised beds, and wheelchair-accessible raised beds and tables;
  • volunteers start to build the raised beds;

Early May 2010

  • the first five raised beds are built;
